FPSO: Offloading Systems

The Tandem Mooring and Offloading System (TMOS) are specifically designed to ensure a safe and efficient transfer of Oil from FPSO/FSO to a Shuttle Tanker. In order to perform this operation, the TMOS will have 2 critical design function as follows :

1. Offloading Hose Handling System
   The Offloading Hose Reel will be designed to store and pay out the offloading hose from FPSO/FSO to be connected to the Shuttle Tanker
2. Hawser Handling System
   The Hawser Winch c/w mooring hawser rope/chain will be designed to connect with the Shuttle Tanker and maintain a safe distance between the 2 vessels for crude oil to be safely transferred. Quick Release hook are connected at the FPSO end of the mooring hawser rope to provide instantaneous release in the event of an emergency.
